At baby luno, we aren’t just passionate about babies and families (though we are really, really passionate about those!), we are also passionate about the world around us. Baby luno is always looking for ways to give back to ensure a better life for all, whether it is our local community or the broader community of Australia and the world.
baby luno Gives Back 2018
In 2018, baby luno contributed to ShareTheMeal – an initiative of the World Food Programme, a humanitarian agency of the United Nations.
With 66 million primary school-aged children worldwide attending classes hungry every day and 45% of deaths in children under the age of 5 caused by poor nutrition, ShareTheMeal is an app that enables users to “share their meal” with hungry children with just a tap.
baby luno Gives Back 2019
In 2019, baby luno donated all profits from the months of October and November to poverty-stricken communities in South Africa.
Founder, Louise, travelled to these communities and viewed the need first hand.
Through personal fundraising as well as incredible donations from baby luno customers, the following was provided:
- 70 school uniforms for children who could not afford them, so they are able to attend school
- 16,000 litres of water as well as towels and sheets to a disability school along with new toys
- Sponsored the start of a sports project aimed at girls 16 years and over with: 12 netballs, 20 netball skirts, 20 netball tops, 20 netball bibs, 20 water bottles, 2 whistles, 2 ball bags, 10 soccer balls, 42 sets of soccer tops, shorts and socks, 120 t-shirts and 60 pairs of running shoes for girls who have never owned a pair of running shoes

baby luno Gives Back 2020
In January-February 2020, following the devastating bushfires that ravaged Australia, baby luno donated profits from certain products to the wildlife rescue organisation, WIRES. As well as donated clothes and food to people in country Victoria that had lost their homes from the fires.
WIRES’ mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for almost 35 years and is the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia. WIRES has over 3,000 volunteers, 28 local branches, a dedicated Rescue Office that operates 24/7, 365 days a year assisting the community to help native animals in distress.
In October 2020, baby luno donated all profits from the month to the Run for Autism charity – In It For Autism.
In It For Autism raises funds to support people of all ages on the autism spectrum, and their families. They are a community of fundraising champions who believe in the power of action to create impact – something that resonates strongly with baby luno.
baby luno Gives Back 2021
In February 2021, baby luno turned it’s fundraising efforts towards a dear friend in the local Melbourne community to assist with her cancer treatments.
We often also donate non-sellable products to local charity organisations too. While it may not be a bigger organisation or charity on this occasion, baby luno likes to make sure that whenever we do give back, the majority of the funds do get to the person/persons in need. Therefore, we like to do little projects here and there that will have maximum impact for the money that is contributed.
